The acclaimed gal and harem hentai Imaizumin-chi wa Douyara Gal no Tamariba ni Natteru Rashii, celebrates its 5th anniversary.
Origin
The adult anime is based on Imaizumin-chi wa Douyara Gal no Tamariba ni Natteru Rashii (今泉ん家はどうやらギャルの溜まり場になってるらしい), a doujinshi by artist Nori5rou that was released on April 8, 2019.
The production company Lune Soft, under its Bunny Walker label, released its first animated episode on August 6, 2021. The hentai series is still ongoing and, as of today, consists of a total of six episodes, with the most recent one having premiered on January 30, 2026.
Story
Imaizumi’s parents thought he was not manly enough and wanted him to become more independent, so they kicked him out and told him to live by himself once high school started. For some reason, however, the three most popular girls from his class, Hamazaki Reina, Kurumizaka Ruri, and Sasaki Yukina, have decided to hang out at his place.
Reception
Although it did not achieve the same level of success as Ajisai no Chiru Koro ni, Himawari wa Yoru ni Saku, or Ijirare: Fukushuu Saimin, Imaizumin-chi wa Douyara Gal no Tamariba ni Natteru Rashii was also one of the best-performing hentai titles of 2021, even breaking into the Top 10 of Getchu’s annual rankings.
The series became even more popular overseas, thanks to its combination of gals, vanilla romance, and harem elements—a formula that won over a large portion of the community. Due to its outstanding reception, Imaizumin-chi wa Douyara Gal no Tamariba ni Natteru Rashii went on to become the highest-rated hentai on MyAnimeList.
